Introducing our lead vocalist  Yani!

“Olá!” I’m a 25 year-old performer and music lover! Born and raised in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Music has been a part of me since I was only a few months old! I remember my parents telling me the only way they found to make me stop crying was to put a Victrola in my room and play some really loud classical music; I’d stop straight away! Haha! When I was about 8, I decided I wanted to be a drummer and a singer. I was the drummer/vocalist in a rock pop band with my brother and best friends for over 10 years but at the age of 21 I decided it was time to change my life around and made the move to Dunedin where I have been living for 3 years now. I was absolutely stoked when Adrian emailed me asking to join Livewire!  We had our first rehearsal and I was 100% in love with the band! I am so excited to be on board and am really enjoying working with these incredible musicians!
