Livewire bands search for a new lead vocalist went global and right under our noses here in Dunedin we have found Yani! Direct from Brazil this very talented songbird not only can sing & dance, but she plays guitar and can show Adrian a thing or two on the drums! We have been busy, busy, busy!
Having just finished a super busy wedding season the band is set to rejuvenate and update our song list over the coming months. We have had the most amazing receptions to entertain at and visited the best wedding venues from Geraldine to Wanaka to Dunedin. The pleasure of meeting so many fabulous people we thank you all.
Currently Steph is busy preparing her assault on this year’s Gold Guitars in Gore at Queen’s Birthday weekend and Liam has a Fortune Theatre production where he is the musical director.
The picture attached we found at Glendhu Station wedding venue, quite a hoot! Also go and check out our demo’s page where we have uploaded a clip of Carol King’s “I feel the earth move” a version where everything just came together and felt so good. We just had to share.

Livewire recruits new Keyboardist Extraordinaire!
"Presenting Livewire’s newest member: keyboardist Liam “The Don” Donnelly, his rhythms are fresh and his melodies are sweet. A classically trained pianist, Liam received his Associate Diploma in Piano Performance from the St Cecilia School of Music at age fourteen. Since then he has been riffin’ it through a variety of different styles and genres, from Pop and Rock to Jazz and Blues. Although he may not have been born when many of the songs we play were on the radio, he can still jam them out as if it was the summer of ‘69."
Liam's debut live show will be August 8th at The Bog Irish Bar, George St Dunedin.

Dunedin's #1 Dance band Livewire return to The Ra Bar, The Octagon, Dunedin on Saturday May 10th at 9pm. The crew are all rested and primed for action after the extended Easter break. Mr Fabulous aka Tim Kent has been overseas to Hamilton and is itching to strap his guitar on and wow the masses!
It should be a busy time in Dunedin with the Highlanders at home to The Lions so head to the game then the Ra Bar afterwards and enjoy the best of what Dunedin has to offer.
